Hi All (clubs that have entered the Manfield Cup in the past)

For the Manfield Cup entry  - If a club is struggling with numbers to fill the 4 rink requirement then they have the option to have a joint entry with another club that has the same problem. Each club providing a number of rinks of their own members.

a) Manfield Cup entry fee = £68 - which is £20 + green fee of £3 per player for 16 players. After payment - please EDIT the entry to amend the name to your club representative.

b) Crystal Bowl singles entry fee = £3.50  with a maximum of 2 club entries. After payment - please EDIT the entries to amend the names to (your) Club 'A' and (your) Club 'B'. This comp to be run as a club competition, and the names of the two finalists to be sent to me by 28th July prior to the start of the County play-offs (RD1 = By 18th August).

Pre Season Message

CHAIR’S PRE-SEASON MESSAGE

At the start of a new season there is always a sense of anticipation and optimism. Some expectations will be at Internationals or National Finals, others at county competitions and for many of us our own club competitions. We must however never lose sight of the importance of all our friendly matches, whether they be at County or Club level. They are the lifeblood of our sport, the pathway for new bowlers and for many clubs a financial lifeline. Support your County and your clubs in these games for the new season.

Much work has gone on behind the scenes at the County to make sure that all bowlers can enjoy the new season’s competitions and fixtures. This work takes considerable effort and dedication, and these efforts from the Officer’s responsible deserve our full appreciation.

Our Presidents for the new season will have a very busy schedule and we should not only wish them well, but also support them during their year in office.

Our Senior and Junior County Team managers have no easy task ahead of them as they, and their teams, seek success for Northamptonshire. We wish them all the very best. Give them your full support.

Your Executive Committee will seek to promote and progress Bowls Northamptonshire as a centre for bowling excellence, ensuring sound finances and effective administration. In many areas we need to strengthen our communication with all our clubs and grassroots bowlers, and this will be a challenge for this year.

I have seen many new seasons, but this is my first as Chair of Bowls Northamptonshire. It is with pride and a sense of responsibility that I take on this role ……… but that desire for success and a good season is still there.

I look forward to meeting many of you on the green this year.

DAVID BAILEY     CHAIRMAN OF BOWLS NORTHAMPTONSHIRE
